I just posted my first drawing in the art section! If you'd be so kind as to scout it, i'd be very appreciative!
0 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!I started working on this a couple days ago, i'm currently designing a tutorial level for it and i'm currently working on the art and scripting for the character and pickups and whatnot. i just wanted to show a little screen shot of what i've got so far. Please keep in mind that this is a learning experience for me, my main purpose in making this game is to learn more so i can make better games later on. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to PM me or just leave the suggestion in a comment.
So what's to know so far?
I know the game will WASD controlled. There will be active stamina that gets drained both when attacking and sprinting, and will recover on its own, or if you pick up a stamina crystal. And health is of course recovered by a health crystal. I haven't decided how diverse the attacking part will be, but i know there will be weapons at least. The enemies have spawn points that randomly place them as soon as you enter the level, so don't expect to see that group in the same place they were last time, if you see them at all. I'm going to try to factor in a difficulty system if i can manage to set that up with the enemies' AI as well as spawn points. the little patches of grass on the screenshot also have random leaves so they'll always be different every time the game loads, i plan to add a lot of detail when it comes to the main design of the levels, but i cannot guarantee amazing art.
